    The JACC Mid-Winter Faculty Conference will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 23-25, 2018 at The Cambria Pines Lodge in Cambria, Calif.

    The cost of the Faculty Conference is $175 and includes a dessert reception Friday evening, a full breakfast Saturday and Sunday mornings, and lunch Saturday. Dinner is on your own, but group restaurant reservations may be available Friday and/or Saturday nights. More information will be available on no-host group dinners a week before the conference.

    Programming includes a Media Law update by Dr. Jason Shepherd of CSU Fullerton, a preview of the state convention in Burbank, and a teaching ideas exchange, among other workshops focused on keeping up with changes in the the industry, as well as in curriculum and pedagogy.

    Make room reservations directly with The Cambria Pines Lodge. The standard room rate is $134, small suites and superior cottages are $159 per night, plus tax.     The deadline is Friday, Jan. 23, 2018 to make Cambria Pines Lodge reservations at these rates.

    The conference registration deadline is Friday, Feb. 2 on this Wild Apricot site. If a friend or family members are accompanying you and would like to enjoy the dessert reception, Saturday lunch and both breakfasts, the extra meal fee is $60 for adults and $30 for children and also requires advance registration.

    Late registration is available Saturday, Feb. 3-Tuesday, Feb.20, 2018. The late registration fee is $185.

    The 2018 JACC State Convention will be held Thursday, March 22 through Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport, 2500 North Hollywood Way, Burbank, CA 91505.


    2018 REGISTRATION FEES

    Registration is for MEMBER schools only; individual students cannot register. All registrations must include a name, twitter and email address for each delegate to be considered valid.

    *HOTEL DISCOUNT

    The 2018 JACC headquarters hotel is the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport, 2500 North Hollywood Way, Burbank, CA 91505. JACC has negotiated discounted hotel rooms for attendees at $165.68/night (single or double, including tax) in conjunction with the convention. Member college delegations that stay at the convention hotel for a minimum of one night during the conference dates are entitled to a $50 discount off the cost of the regular registration fee. The regular registration fee is higher for commuters because much of the meeting space costs are determined by how many hotel room nights are sold by the organization.

    Hotel Room Rate: $165.68 per night (same rate for single and double rooms) and parking is $19 per night. Both include tax.

    TO MAKE A HOTEL RESERVATION

    2. Email the spreadsheet form to Elizabeth Joanou by 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23 at: ejoanou@burbankmarriott.com

    3. Fill out the Credit Card Authorization form http://bit.ly/hotelcreditcardform.

    4. Fax or email the credit card form to Elizabeth Joanou by 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23 at 818-563-9182 (fax) or ejoanou@burbankmarriott.com

    5. If you need an invoice right away to get a check cut, please make sure you let Elizabeth know in your email. All check payments MUST be made by 5 p.m. March 9.  A check payment made in advance will make for a smooth check-in.

    6. Rooming lists are due by 5 p.m. Friday, March 2. Email the list to Elizabeth Joanou at: ejoanou@burbankmarriott.com. Emailing your rooming list in advance will make for a smooth check-in.
