The JACC Mid-Winter Faculty Conference will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 22-24, 2019 at The Cambria Pines Lodge in Cambria, Calif.

The cost of the Faculty Conference is $150 and includes a full breakfast Saturday and Sunday mornings, and lunch Saturday. Dinner is on your own, but group restaurant reservations may be available Friday and/or Saturday nights. More information will be available on no-host group dinners a week before the conference.

Room Types Thu, Fri-Sat Standard $93-$102, $110-$119; Superior Cottages $136-$153; Large Suites $195; Deluxe Spa Cottage $195-$229; All rates are subject to the prevailing city and state taxes, currently at 12%. Rates are based on double occupancy. Unless otherwise stated above, the extra person charge is $10. All quoted rates are based upon existing bedding. Rollaway beds are not available.

Hotel check-in time is after 3 p.m. on the day of arrival. Check-out time is 11 a.m. on the day of departure.

Programming includes a Media Law update by Dr. Jason Shepherd of CSU Fullerton, as well as sessions on drones, gamification and newsroom coaching among others, and a preview of the state convention in Sacramento. We will also share teaching ideas.

This year 1 unit of continuing education credit will be available through Cal State Fullerton for those participating in the conference. It will cost $50 for those who want the academic credit for salary advancement.
