Registration

  • This is the registration option for all students and faculty staying in the convention hotel. College delegations that register for hotel rooms are eligible for a $50 per person registration discount. The regular convention registration fee is $300 per person and commuters should register using that option instead.
  • The regular convention registration fee is $300 per person. Commuters should use this option. Those college delegations staying in the convention hotel are eligible for a $50 per person discount and should register using the hotel discount registration fee instead.
  • Delegations staying in the hotel but registering late for the convention should use this registration option.
  • Commuter delegations registering late should use this option.
  • Four-year associate member colleges receive free tabling at the regional conferences and state convention. Tabling runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 20 and 21. If you are a member contact Cindy McGrath (mcgrathlmc@aol.com) for a registration code. If you are not a member, please register using registration 08. Vendor-Education.
  • Fee for non-members to table during the annual JACC convention. Tabling runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 20 and 21.

The 2020 JACC State Convention will be held Thursday, March 19 through Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport, 2500 North Hollywood Way, Burbank, CA 91505.

2020 REGISTRATION FEES

Registration is for MEMBER schools only; individual students cannot register. All registrations must include a name, twitter and email address for each delegate to be considered valid.

*HOTEL DISCOUNT

The 2020 JACC headquarters hotel is the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport, 2500 North Hollywood Way, Burbank, CA 91505. JACC has negotiated discounted hotel rooms for attendees at $187.92/night (single or double, including tax) in conjunction with the convention. Member college delegations that stay at the convention hotel for a minimum of one night during the conference dates are entitled to a $50 discount off the cost of the regular registration fee. The regular registration fee is higher for commuters because much of the meeting space costs are determined by how many hotel room nights are sold by the organization.

TO MAKE A BURBANK MARRIOTT HOTEL RESERVATION

1. Fill out the Excel spreadsheet — it’s OK if you don’t know all the students’ names at this point. Here’s the link to the spreadsheet: http://bit.ly/JACC2020. Make sure to make a copy of the spreadsheet so you can edit it.

2. Please email the spreadsheet form as an Excel file to Daisy Topete by 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 at: dtopete@burbankmarriott.com. Reservations MUST be made with Daisy Topete and NOT with the 800 Marriott number. Please let Daisy know in your email message if you need bus parking and she will include the cost in your quote.

3. Fill out the Credit Card Authorization form http://bit.ly/hotelcreditcardform.

4. Send the credit card authorization form to Daisy Topete by 5 p.m. Friday, March 6 at (818) 563-9182 (fax) or dtopete@burbankmarriott.com. If you prefer a more secure process to handle your credit card information, please ask Daisy to send you a link to the Marriott's secure Sertifi system.

5. If you need an invoice right away to get a check cut, please make sure you let Daisy know in your email. All check payments MUST be made by 5 p.m. March 6 to ensure there are no delays with the check-in process. A check payment made when you arrive will delay yours and your students’ check-in process, as well as delay those in line behind you.

6. If paying by check, please be sure to send the check via UPS or Fedex ATTN: Daisy Topete.

7. Rooming lists are due by 5 p.m. Friday, March 6. Email the list to Daisy Topete at: dtopete@burbankmarriott.comEmailing your rooming list in advance will make for a smooth check-in.

Please note regarding convention registration: There are no refunds. Requests for a registration cancellation or credit will be honored only through the regular registration deadline. After that, colleges are responsible to pay for all registered delegates. There are no credits for no-shows, but you may make delegate substitutions. Name changes are free for on-time registrations through Thursday, March 12, 2020. After March 12, there will be a $10 late name change fee (not applicable to late registrations as this is included in the late registration fee).
