JACC State Convention 2011

  • This is the registration option for students and faculty. Regular registration is $200, but commuters must pay a $50 fee. Please see our chart to determine how many regular registrations you are allowed.

Regular registration is open only to member schools; registration is by delegation. Please include cell phone numbers and e-mail addresses of all delegates.

The 2011 JACC State Convention will be held at the DoubleTree Inn in Sacramento beginning Thursday, April 7 and running through Saturday, April 9.

Registration is available only to MEMBER schools. Individuals CAN NOT register; all registrations are by delegation.

The cost of registration, which does NOT include lodging, is $200 per delegate (instructor or student) for those staying at the hotel. The cost for commuters is $250 per delegate. See our commuter calculation chart to determine how many regular registrants you are allocated based on the number of rooms and number of nights you will be at the hotel.

Regular registrations must be received by March 24. Late reservations will include a $50 per delegate late fee.

(Commuter rates are higher because much of the meeting space costs are determined by how many hotel room nights are sold by the organization.)

The convention will include a full array of on-the-spot contests (see our list of contests for details), workshops and business meetings. The convention concludes Saturday night with an awards banquet. Each school must send at least one student delegate to the state student meeting; one faculty delegate to the state faculty meeting and one student delegate and one faculty delegate to the general assembly meeting.

Make hotel reservations with the DoubleTree by going online to If you are reserving FEWER than five rooms, use the three-letter code "JAC" to receive JACC rates. If you are booking more than five rooms, see instructions on the JACC website first. Reservations must be made before March 17. Hotel rates for single or double rooms are $115 (plus tax) per room per night. These special JACC rates are good until March 17, 2011 at 5 p.m.

Note: We expect that the JACC Board of Directors will approve a new $5 per entry fee for bring-in and on-the-spot contests. A new option field has been added for you to pre-pay your estimated needs with your registration. Adjustments will be allowed at the convention for those who over/under estimate.
